Bill
and Wendy Lawson welcome you to Catherine Vale Vineyard located between
Broke and Bulga in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales.
Here they have created from
scratch their own beautiful vineyard producing small parcels of quality
fruit from 5 different varieties. The end product is award winning wine
available for your enjoyment.
The property is spectacularly
located in the lee of the Hunter Range and borders the Yengo National Park
which extends for many kilometres towards the Hawkesbury River.
Visit and look out towards vineyards
located along the valley of the Wollombi Brook. To the south is the village of
Broke and it’s towering sentinel Yellow Rock while to the north can be found the
villages of Milbrodale and Bulga.
East across the brook is historic
Fordwich where early explorer John Blaxland was granted land
and where Soldier Settlement blocks were first planted with grapes after World War I .
Notice the Lawson Family residence at Catherine Vale which
was the old Uniting Church Manse (circa 1914) moved from No 1 Church Street Singleton in 1993.
The recently constructed Cellar Door building
designed by Brett Cronan is in the style of an Australian Country Church.
