Welcome to Catherine Vale Vineyard

Bill and Wendy Lawson welcome you to Catherine Vale Vineyard located between Broke and Bulga in the Broke Fordwich sub-region of the Hunter Valley of New South Wales.

Here they have created from scratch their own beautiful vineyard producing small parcels of quality fruit from 6 different varieties. The end product is award winning wine available for your enjoyment.

The property is spectacularly located in the lee of the Hunter Range and borders the Yengo National Park which extends for many kilometres towards the Hawkesbury River.

Winter at Catherinevale

Winter is pruning time in our vineyards. Pruning is the method used by most vineyard owners to establish the vines capacity for the next growing season by presenting the vine in the most workable position for the new season’s growth. This is done during the dormant period of the vine which is during winter. Pruning prior to full dormancy can alter or weaken the vines capacity for fruitful production in the next season.
